Chiropractic Care

Activator on patient's backYour nervous system is responsible for everything your body does, all the way down to the cellular level, so it’s important that it functions correctly. The nerves run through your spinal cord, which is encased and protected by your spine, before they exit and spread to every organ, tissue, and cell of your body. That’s why if your spine is misaligned or not moving correctly, it can greatly impact your nerve function—causing pain, numbness or tingling, mobility issues, and a host of other symptoms.

Chiropractic helps by restoring optimal alignment and movement to the spine, alleviating pressure on the nerves so they can communicate with the body properly. The result? You get to live your life with less pain and greater mobility!

At Timber Ridge Neck & Back Pain Clinic, we have 35 years of experience helping patients get back to doing the things they love with our gentle, effective approach to care.

Our Patient-Centered Approach

All of your care will be customized to your specific needs and goals. Dr. McCluskey prefers gentle adjusting techniques that are safe for all ages, from little ones through seniors. Activator Methods® uses a hand-held instrument to deliver precise, low-force adjustments without twisting, cracking, or popping.

In addition to chiropractic adjustments, we may augment your care with other healing therapies, such as:

  • Laser Therapy: FDA-approved laser therapy is a great adjunct for chronic or acute pain relief, reducing inflammation and increasing blood flow. Depending on your needs, we use three different lasers: Class3B laser, super-pulsing laser, and Class IV laser.
  • Interferential electro-therapy: Helps relieve pain, reduce swelling and atrophy, and increase blood circulation. It’s great for sprains/strains and muscle spasms.
  • Ultrasound: Increases blood flow, relaxes muscle spasms, massages damaged tissues, and speeds the healing process.
  • Intersegmental traction: Increases and restores elasticity and motion to the spine.
  • Superficial heat: Calms tissues to increase flexibility, range of motion, and circulation.
  • Cryotherapy: Reduces local swelling of inflamed tissues.
